The skiing

Oz en Oisans combines 10 hamlets and a mountain resort in a harmonious setting with high quality facilities you would only expect to find in a much larger resort. Oz is one of the five resorts on the Massif des Grandes Rousses which includes both Alpe d’Huez and Vaujany and has 2 bubble lifts that connect directly into the main ski areas. From Chalet Le Sabot you can be at 2800m in less than 20 minutes and at Pic Blanc (3300m) in another 10. From there it is a 2km vertical drop of blissful skiing right back the front door.

Oz is the perfect choice for learners, mixed ability groups or those skiing with children. The slopes of Oz en Oisans are ideally situated for quiet skiing to enable you to build your confidence or enhance your technique without worrying about the masses.

Oz en Oisans is not just about skiing. Winter activities including snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, paragliding, ice skating, nighttime skiing and indoor rock climbing. There is also an ice wall for those that like to climb outside.

For those that like a ski challenge why not try the Sarenne, a 16km black run, the longest in Europe!
