Does the chalet have laundry facilities?

There are laundry facilities in the resort only a short walk from Chalet Le Sabot. See our section on Local Amenities for mor information.

Is linen provided by Chalet Le Sabot?

Yes, we'll even make up the beds ready for your arrival. We also provide towels. We will prepare a cot for your baby upon request also.

Are the bedrooms en-suite?

No, however they are just a step away from each guest bedroom. There are 5 showers, 2 baths and 5 toilets over teh 3 floors.

Is Chalet Le Sabot catered or self catering in the summer?

Self Catering. We have a fully equipped kitchen which includes, for example, cutlery and crockery (including for children), glasses, utensils, oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, kettle and toaster amongst other items.

Are transfers included?

Most guests over the summer are self- drive. Transfers are not included in the price. We are very happy to book a taxi for you from your arrival location to the chalet.

What is the nearest airport?

Grenoble which is approximately an hour's drive.

Can equipment hire be arranged by Chalet Le Sabot?

Yes. There are various types of equipment available to hire locally such as bikes, fishing lines and tennis racquets. We can organise this for you.

Do you accept well behaved dogs?

Yes, subject to owner approval.

Is there internet access at Chalet Le Sabot?

Yes. Complimentary WiFi is accessible throughout the chalet.

Is it easy to get around the mountains?

Yes. There is a comprehensive lift system. The resort is also well linked by public transport.

Are guests able to come and go as they please?

Yes. Guests have their own key entrusted to them for the duration of their stay. You will also have exclusive use of the chalet.

Do you have equipment for babies?

Yes. The proprietors have two small children and they themselves spend much time at the chalet. For full details please see our Children's section.

How can I book Chalet Le Sabot?

Simply contact the office via our 'Contact' page. Please email us your request or leave a comprehensive voicemail (if we are unable to take your call we will reply as soon as possible).

Do you offer discount for children and babies?

As the price for the chalet is a total amount per day, individual guest charges do not apply, unlike in the winter.

Do you offer discounts for large groups?

Do you offer short stays, for example weekend breaks?

Yes. Our minimum stay required in May, June and September is 4 nights. During July and August it is 7 nights, however this may be negotiable so please always contact us to discuss.

What is the changeover day for Chalet Le Sabot?

Over the summer our changeover day is flexible as the length of each guest stay varies.

Do you offer sole occupancy?

Yes. All our summer guests will have sole occupancy of the chalet. As we are self catering we would not expect you to share with other groups.

Is there somewhere to dry clothing and equipment?

Yes. You can hang wet clothing in the boot room. This is not heated over the summer however it still lends itself to this purpose.

Are there laundry facilities?

No. There is a laundrette just a short walk from the chalet however.

What type of mountain pass will be needed?

This depends what activities you will undertake. Full information can be found at the tourist office, or please enquire with us.

Are there restaurants nearby that you can recommend?

Yes. There are some lovely restaurants nearby both within walking distance in the resort or a short drive from the chalet. We can recommend restaurants to suit your requirments.

How do guests receive the keys for their stay at Chalet Le Sabot?    

We post them to you by special delivery 7-10 days prior to your arrival date.

What activities are on offer in the resort and surrounding area?

What amenities are in Oz en Oisans?

Boulangerie, supermarket, ATM, Post Office, restaurants, shops, equipment hire shops, cinema and much more. For full details please visit the Summer Resort section. Guests will be sent comprehensive information prior to their arrival at the chalet also.

Are there Emergency Services operating locally?

Yes certainly, as you would expect. There is also mountain rescue. Guests will be sent comprehensive information which includes contact details for these and the local doctor prior to their arrival at the chalet also.
